Rustic Grey Wooden End Table
This rustic wooden end table features a weathered grey finish, a single top drawer with a dark metal ring pull, and an open slatted lower shelf. Built with straight square legs and a planked top surface, the table provides functional storage as a living room side table or bedroom nightstand. The single drawer offers enclosed storage for small daily items, while the lower deck offers open display space.
Background Note
Accent tables equipped with slatted lower shelves trace back to utilitarian 19th-century farmhouse design traditions. The slatted deck originally served to promote air circulation around stored linens, footwear, or utility goods while providing essential structural bracing for timber frames. Today, this traditional craft element remains popular in rustic and country-style furniture for its clean combination of open accessibility and lightweight stability.
