Oyster Shell Magnolia Driftwood Sculpture

Background Note

Crafting decorative items from natural elements like shells and driftwood is a common folk art tradition, particularly in coastal regions where these materials are readily available. Oyster shells have been repurposed for centuries, not only for practical uses but also for their aesthetic qualities, lending their iridescent interiors to various artistic expressions. This piece reflects a contemporary application of these natural materials.
