Headboard Entryway Bench

Background Note

This bench exemplifies the practice of upcycling, where existing furniture components are transformed into new functional pieces. The backrest, originally a bed headboard, has been ingeniously integrated to create a seating solution with historical character. The fleur-de-lis, a stylized lily or iris, is a timeless symbol often associated with French royalty and heraldry, and frequently used in decorative arts throughout history. This locally made item highlights craftsmanship and sustainable design.
