Refinished White Lighted China Cabinet
This two-piece china cabinet features a refinished white exterior, combining an illuminated display hutch with an enclosed storage credenza. The upper section is framed by an arched crown molding and canted glass side panels, with double glass-paneled doors opening to multi-tier shelving fitted with interior lighting. The lower cabinet provides concealed dining storage behind four hinged doors, each accented with raised geometric grid relief panels and antiqued metal drop pulls.
Background Note
Raised geometric relief paneling—often described as waffle or coffered patterning—became a prominent decorative motif in American residential furniture during the Mediterranean Revival movement of the late 1960s and 1970s. Designed to serve as the visual centerpiece of formal dining rooms, these multi-section cabinets paired canted corner profiles with integrated display lighting to showcase fine crystal and dinnerware while storing service pieces below.
