Resin Soldier Nutcracker Figurine
This decorative nutcracker soldier figurine is cast in resin and finished with detailed hand-painted color and metallic gold accents. Soldier nutcrackers trace their heritage to the Erzgebirge region of Germany, where woodturners began carving caricatures of authority figures in the late seventeenth century. While traditional models served as functional lever-action nut tools, their association with holiday folklore flourished globally following the success of Tchaikovsky’s 1892 ballet, inspiring a wide range of decorative, non-functional collectible statuettes rendered in cast resin.
