Background Note
Founded in 1927 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, American Drew became a major contributor to the American furniture manufacturing boom in the Blue Ridge foothills. The company built its reputation on traditional bedroom and dining collections, drawing inspiration from Queen Anne, Chippendale, and Colonial Revival styles. North Wilkesboro and neighboring High Point formed the historical heart of domestic case-goods production throughout the twentieth century.
